Here are some of the things to see in November:

  • 6:30 pm, southwestern sky – Saturn hovering above the horizon at nightfall
  • 7 pm, southern sky – Mars visible in the direction of Aquarius
  • 6 am, southeastern sky – Venus visible near Spica in Virgo in mid-November
  • 9 pm, southern sky – Pisces constellation, easily recognizable for the Circlet of Pisces asterism, with the grand design spiral galaxy Messier 74 near the border with Aries
  • 9 pm, southeastern sky – Aries constellation high in the sky throughout the month
  • 9 pm, southeastern sky – Triangulum constellation with the famous Triangulum Galaxy (Messier 33)
  • 2 am, eastern sky – Taurid meteor shower peaking on the night of November 5 to 6 with 5 to 6 meteors visible per hour, Leonid meteor shower peaking on the night of November 17 to 18
